Dave Doyle, Chapman Stick, will be joining us for this event. Melody and bass and some stringy rhythm will enhance The Elsewhere Band sound.
Dave plays with The Means, a local New Haven band specializing in advanced music.
h we will figure out how to post on this site and also on our MP3 page. Then, gOA was up again at Cafe 9 for Ed Leonard's Beatnik 2001 poetry and music night. High Lonesome Plains headlined the evening and friends Al Raebuck and Frank Critelli were among the performers. Cafe 9 is a great place to go to hear local and other music -- there is music there just about every day of the week. The cover charge is usually pretty low and Mondays and Tuesdays there is no cover. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

gOA just did a gig with Agony (formerly, Purge). They invited us to play at the end of their set at the Village Pub in New Haven. It was a great night. Agony has a fantastic sound: great guitarists, bass player and drummer. The songs are loud and really rock--this is not an understatement. The bass player and drummer sat in with us on our set. It's the most fun Roy and I have had playing in a while. They did a great job -- they didn't know any of our material, but just pulled it all together for us on the fly. Thanks to John who also sat in on bass. The night opened with Al Raebuck: a rich voice backed up by acoustic guitar. Thanks to Agony for inviting us to play. Keep an ear out for them; they will be playing around the New Haven area a lot.
